Packing Cheap
Packing isn't for everyone, but it's important to those who do it. A lot of prosthetics are really pricey so I wanted to talk about the different ways you can get a bulge, or a penis, on the cheap.
The cheapest option is the DIY-option - the good old sock & safety-pin approach. This is great if you want the bulge, it just takes some adjusting. Also, you want to be careful with the safety pins, of course.
But some people also want something that LOOKS like a penis. This is my personal preference. These become harder to manage on a budget. But I've found a particular packer that's cheap & I think is pretty great.
The Classic Packy! Observe it in all its phallic glory. It comes in three sizes: Small (4"), Medium (6"), and Large (8"). I own a Small & Medium. Small is $12 at both FTMEssentials and Early2Bed Shop, each successive size going up by $2 each. There are also 3 different colors - pictured above (though the middle picture looks lighter than it is in real life).
You'll need some cornstarch for upkeep (which you can get for .99 cents at any grocery store), and a makeup brush, like for blush or something. You might still have one lying around. Care is simple - wash it either after or before wearing in gentle soap & water, then pat dry & dust with corn starch. Every once in a while boil on the stove in plain water for 3 minutes to sterilize.
PROS:
- It's super cheap, pretty much the cheapest prosthetic out there
-I like the feel of it - sproingy & soft, and pretty lifelike when corn-starched
-Doesn't look like you have a hard-on when you pack
-The 6" is long enough that my partner and I were able to have some fun with it in bed, though it is not designed for sex & as a soft packer, not meant for penetration. You have to get creative ;)
-According to my partner, who has had more real-life experience with dicks, it passes the crotch grab test except it feels less "crushable" than a flesh-and-blood penis.
-Yes, I found her above statement slightly worrying as well
-The back of it feels nice against skin, if your packing holder/harness is backless.
-Surprising amount of surface detailing for such a cheap penis. Love the way the underside of the shaft looks/feels & there's even a little piss-hole molded into the tips (though obviously these aren't STPs)
CONS:
-Not incredibly sturdy. Both my penises have suffered small cuts (though only a few)
-Picks up lint like a mofo - cleaning every day is a MUST
-The 4" actually has slightly fuller balls than the rest, so the penis ALWAYS wants to pop up like in the pic, & you'll actually get a slightly taller bulge (though smaller in area) with it than the other two.
-The balls have a flat back, not fully rounded
-Medium & Large have much heavier shafts, so they will fall out of some pouch harnesses.
-You are DEFINITELY going to want to use these with some sort of harness or holder
As you can see, I think the pros outweight the cons, especially if you're on a budget. This is also a good starter packer, to see if packing with a realistic phallus is for you.
DISCOUNT CODES: Both FTMEssentials & Early2Bed Shop have 10% discount codes you can use on any purchase. FTMEssentials code is TY14 (from the youtuber Ty Turner, check his stuff out!) and the one for E2B is THANKS.
I'll talk about packing tools (like harnesses) in my next post, but I wanted to cover some packing hygeine real quck.
If your packer touches your skin in the crotch-area, or you have a packing pouch or harness made of a fabric that isn't underwear fabric that presses against your crotch-area, you're going to want to keep that shit CLEAN. Something pressing against that area all day at ALL, especially if its dirty, is the fast track to a yeast infection. Eugh.
I like to wear boxer-briefs over my packing strap (homemade, I'll cover how to do that next post) because they are snug enough to keep the junk situated where I like it, while not being quite as snug as straight briefs (and if you pair super snug briefs with tight jeans, probably best to shower when you get home that day). This keeps things from pressing too firmly against me but keeps them in place.
Remember to sterilize regularly. Seriously. Even if you clean it every day, you want to sterliize it. Pick a penis boiling day, a few each month, and do it then. Just get 'er done. Your continued health and safety will thank you later.
Welp, I think that's about it! Next post will cover harnesses (specifically ones for packing, not sexy times, that's a later post), how to find them cheap, and how to make them yourself even cheaper. Stay tuned!
