Who The Fuck Am I?

I'm a guy in college, studying History (major) Information Systems (minor) and considering another major in Anthropology because I'm insane. I've got an internship with a video game company, along with my $7.25/hr job at the campus library & a super cheap tech repair service I run to try and make enough cash on the side to take my fiancee out on dates. From time to time I do freelance social media management/writing & editing jobs.

I'm trying to get in shape & eat a lot healthier, both because it's sorely needed and so I'll be freakin ripped one day. In my free time I sew, bake, read, game (PC, for those who care), marathon horror movies (I'm obsessed), and I'm back to drawing again because I hope to enter the graphic novel world. I have a pet bird, who is still back with family but will hopefully move here soon. His name is Marzipan and he's the best cockatiel in the world.

Oh, and I'm trans. That's a thing!

I've attempted a trans blog before, but wasn't great at upkeep. Partially because I hated the way it looked, and partially because I'm busy as hell. I'm going to try with this one and see how it goes, though.

I *know* a lot of trans people out there are strapped for cash - many transition without financial support of families, or try to at least start while they're in college/high school, and there's the sucky unemployment rates we're saddled with. But transitioning isn't cheap. All the medical needs and acutrements and tools for feeling more comfortable and surgeries - it all costs a pretty damn huge penny.

This is something I have to deal with daily, as I try to progress my transition on a limited amount of money. I've discovered some ways to make it easier - or cheaper products that work well - discount codes, etc. So I thought I'd blog about that. I'll also probably blog about some other things, too. My life, my transition, fitness, health, etc, because being trans is about a lot more than wearing a binder or inserts. It is an encompassing thing.

Important to note, my blog will focus on the FTM experience, because that is mine. But I will try and include other resources I come across for MTF and non-binary folk (I know some non-binary will find use of my FTM stuff, which is nice!). The Resources page has some stuff I think might be helpful to all & something to share with supporters/those you want to turn into supporters.

I have no real authority, and my expertise extends to the fact that I study this shit in my free time because it's my life and I want to understand it. But I will always do my best to be thorough & cite anything I need to.
